Every business needs a brain. This is how you build one.
There’s a concept making the rounds in AI circles right now, and it’s worth paying attention to.
The idea is this: the biggest blocker to AI automation is no longer the technology. The models are extraordinary. The blocker is knowledge.
Specifically, the fact that most business knowledge is scattered everywhere – in people’s heads, buried in old emails, lost in Slack threads, sitting in a document nobody’s updated since 2021.
Humans muddle through because they vaguely remember where things are. AI can’t operate like that. If you want AI to actually work inside a business, you need to give it somewhere to draw from. A structured, living record of how the business works. A company brain.
That’s what Wisdom is built for.
Introducing Wisdom
Wisdom is a Knowledge Base tool available as part of the Nettl System. A single, structured home for everything a business needs to know – guides, processes, FAQs, brand instructions, how-tos – organised, searchable, and accessible to the right people.
It’s what we use ourselves at Nettl. And now it’s available for you to use for your own business, or to set up for your clients

It’s what we use ourselves at Nettl. And now it’s available for you to use for your own business, or to sell to your clients.
What it actually does
Reduces your support burden. People prefer finding the answer themselves, quickly. Self-service is known to improve customer satisfaction. A well-built Knowledge Base means fewer repetitive questions, fewer interruptions, and clients who feel more confident working with you.
Your brand, your style. Each Wisdom Knowledge Base is fully customisable – fonts, colours, logos. It gets its own branded URL, or you can point a custom domain at it. No coding required.
Public or private, your call. Keep it locked down for internal team use, open it up for clients, or mix both. Public articles can be linked from your website and have unlimited views. Private ones stay accessible only to the people you choose.
Version control, built in. Changes save as you type. Undo edits change-by-change, or roll back an entire article to a previous version.
AI writing tools included. Grammar correction, tone of voice, summarising, improving – and you can create a whole article just by describing what you want to write. The AI drafts it; you refine it.
The AI angle
Here’s where it gets relevant for where things are heading.
Our own Wisdom Knowledge Base connects directly to Oodles OTS – so when someone asks Oodles a question inside the Nettl System, it draws on Wisdom articles to give a specific, contextual answer rather than a generic one. That’s what makes it useful rather than impressive.
Your Wisdom Knowledge Base – or one you set up for a client – won’t plug into Oodles. But it can connect to whatever AI tools you or your clients are already using. The businesses investing in structured knowledge now are the ones who will get the most out of AI as it develops. The knowledge base becomes the missing layer between raw company data and reliable AI automation.
Who it’s for
Any business that needs staff, customers, or franchisees to find the right information quickly. Tech companies. Schools and universities. Franchise networks. Service businesses with complex processes or product ranges.
If knowledge is getting lost, living in the wrong places, or locked in someone’s head, Wisdom is the fix.
